Every day we post a new hot rod, custom or drag racer photo from the collections currently on Jim Miller’s desk. These are posted at approximately 4 am EST and you are likely looking at a photo that has rarely been seen outside of family and friends. Jim’s comments may reflect the photo owner’s knowledge or may result from the extensive research that Jim conducts. Jim's Comments
Here we go again with results and records not jiveing. Car no. 160 is listed in the '55 Bonneville Program as the Koopman Brothers car from Whitier, California. The Bantam bodied ride was motivated by a Chrysler. So far so good. Checking the results the car is now listed in Class B Comp Coupe and Sedan instead of Class D as in the program and what's indicated on the side of the car. It ran 158.45 mph for first in class.
