More about the car:
This all Henry steel 5 window was originally hotrodded in 1955 by my second cousin Maurice Fostery when he was 17-18 years old. He started off with an all original driver and came up with what you see before you. A very east coast styled, channeled and unchopped coupe. Painted 1954 Buick Titian red and sporting a stroked and bored 1942 Flathead. He sold it in 1958 and it made it’s way through a bunch of owners, when my dad found it around 1974 and my uncle bought it. It sat in the garage in pieces with apparitions of freshening the car up and it never happened. Until I was 18 and offered my uncle a trade, my 49 Ford for his 32. The deal was made and long story short, I put the whole car back almost exactly the was Maurice had built it, including engine accessories, color of the car. The interior is still nicely intact from 1958 as well. I’ve owned this car now for 32 years, and plan to have til I’m gone. Keep traditional hotrods alive boys!
About the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month Contest
The Hot Rod of the Month Contest is a special opportunity available only to Foundation Members. Active Members have a two-week period EACH MONTH in which to enter a car they own by providing photos and a description of their car. During the following two-week period, all Members, whether they have entered a car or not, can individually vote for their favorite car.
The car with the most Member votes at the end of each month will be the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month and will be featured on the AHRF website and on social networks.
At the end of each calendar year, the Advisory Board of the Foundation will select one car, as the AHRF Hot Rod of the Year, from that year’s Hot Rod of the Month winners. The Hot Rod of the Year will be given special publicity, and the car will be maintained in an ongoing catalog of AHRF Hot Rod of the Year winners.
