1915 Model T Roadster, #45 “Desert Flyer” 40’s styled Hot Rod. The body is Model T Ford with an unknown make Turtle Deck modified to fit the body and a louvered lid. The motor is a 35′ 21 stud with 36′ heads mated to a 39′ transmission.The crowning jewel of the Roadster is an original Thickstun PM-7 dual high rise intake manifold, topped with a pair of Stromberg 97 carburetors. Front axle is a dropped Model A with Model T spring and 32′-34′ spindles. Rear axle is stock Model A Banjo with Model T spring, 40′ Ford brakes at all four corners. Steering box is a late Model A Gemmer unit, while the tie rod and drag link are modified from AA Big truck. A 40′ pedal assembly uses a modified cross shaft to actuate the clutch. Trimmed down Model A pedals have been adapted to be removable like later style round pedals. The Generator has been converted to 12v and modified to use an external voltage regulator for more reliable charging.Windshield frame is an inverted and narrowed upper T frame with slanted 23′-25′ stanchions. Non structural fasteners are slotted screws or bolts, all others are castle nut type. Other items include cast aluminum Hydraulic Cover and Skull shift knob. The Desert Flyer raced at TROG Flabob 23′ and will be running at RPM Nationals Santa Margarita.

About the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month Contest
The Hot Rod of the Month Contest is a special opportunity available only to Foundation Members. Active Members have a two-week period EACH MONTH in which to enter a car they own by providing photos and a description of their car. During the following two-week period, all Members, whether they have entered a car or not, can individually vote for their favorite car.
The car with the most Member votes at the end of each month will be the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month and will be featured on the AHRF website and on social networks.
At the end of each calendar year, the Advisory Board of the Foundation will select one car, as the AHRF Hot Rod of the Year, from that year’s Hot Rod of the Month winners. The Hot Rod of the Year will be given special publicity, and the car will be maintained in an ongoing catalog of AHRF Hot Rod of the Year winners.
