More about the car

David Frieburger drove this car cross country to my buddies shop in Ca. It was built mostly by Bones Fab in Camarillo, Ca, and finished out by myself here in Texas. https://youtu.be/9NKolvYcIdE?si=qQH7jx-fN6ZhskcS

Blueprint 396 with a Victory Jr intake with direct port EFI, running a Holley Terminator X. Tremec TKX Transmission, a Currie Fabricated 9″ rear end. It has Ride Tech front and rear suspension with adjustable coil overs all around. Wilwood 6 Piston 14″ brakes (Yeah, id rather have 12″ brakes and 15″ wheels) The harness is from Painless, AC from Vintage, dash is Dakota, front drive is Holley, Griffin Radiator. Full Stainless exhaust 3″ with an X Pipe.

When I got the car in ’22, it ran and drove, and needed floors. So I put floors in it myself, and the snowball effect kicked in. Ended up getting two layers of dynamat, and seam sealed all around, and then a coat of bedliner. Doors have dynamat, all new weather stripping and two full layers of door seals. There is NO wind noise at 85mph on the road. The seats are from a Ford Focus RS, and have the headrest removed, and are covered in factory Bel Air fabric.

A custom made 32 gallon gas tank at 24 mpg gives way more range than my bladder has!

Its covered more than 19k miles in the last 3 years, and has been coast to coast several times. Drive it daily, and it runs at 198 in 105 degree Texas heat with the AC blasting away!

About the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month Contest

The Hot Rod of the Month Contest is a special opportunity available only to Foundation Members. Active Members have a two-week period EACH MONTH in which to enter a car they own by providing photos and a description of their car. During the following two-week period, all Members, whether they have entered a car or not, can individually vote for their favorite car.

The car with the most Member votes at the end of each month will be the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month and will be featured on the AHRF website and on social networks.

At the end of each calendar year, the Advisory Board of the Foundation will select one car, as the AHRF Hot Rod of the Year, from that year’s Hot Rod of the Month winners. The Hot Rod of the Year will be given special publicity, and the car will be maintained in an ongoing catalog of AHRF Hot Rod of the Year winners.
