More about the car:
This car was built 100% in house by me at my shop here in Sparta Wisconsin where the car has lived its entire life. After dragging it out of the shed where it had been stored in pieces since 1983, I brought it home to my shop where I began a 2 year restoration/build. The body is stock with the exception of being chopped 4” and has zero rust repair and all of the original sheet metal as it was never crashed or driven in the winter. Paint is PPG Sarge Green with black in the original accent layout. As far as the chassis, the rear crossmember was moved back 7” to allow for the spring to be hung behind the rearend. A 1937 Ford X member was adapted along with a 1946 59-AB engine connected to a 1936 transmission and rear end connected with a shortened torque tube. Brakes are Boling Bros self actuating. Interior is stock ford with the exception of a Glide bench in front. Steering is a Vega box connected to a 1953 ford F100 column and wheel. Wheels and tires are 1932 ford 18” with 650-18 excelsior rears and 1934 ford 17” 450-17 excelsior front.
About the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month Contest
The Hot Rod of the Month Contest is a special opportunity available only to Foundation Members. Active Members have a two-week period EACH MONTH in which to enter a car they own by providing photos and a description of their car. During the following two-week period, all Members, whether they have entered a car or not, can individually vote for their favorite car.
The car with the most Member votes at the end of each month will be the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month and will be featured on the AHRF website and on social networks.
At the end of each calendar year, the Advisory Board of the Foundation will select one car, as the AHRF Hot Rod of the Year, from that year’s Hot Rod of the Month winners. The Hot Rod of the Year will be given special publicity, and the car will be maintained in an ongoing catalog of AHRF Hot Rod of the Year winners.
