Purchased this car 4 years ago from an 80-year-old gentleman that was selling it to finance the motor going into his 40 coupe. Subsequent phone calls identified it as a red billet rod with fenders built by Dick sometime around 93 or 94. When I got it it had a bunch of ball-milled billet valve covers dashboard etc all of which I got rid of before I understood where it came from.
I’ve driven this car from California to Texas and back twice, including 19° in Flagstaff. Swapping the exhaust system back because I’m getting older and I’m getting deaf… Manifolds and underbody sure beat open headers when you want to lay on the miles. The interior is original from the first build the paint color has been changed at least twice, I basically gasketed it gave it a nut and bolt pulled the fenders off and got rid of the billet and started driving it. I put almost 25,000 mi on it. The ones sin that I did commit was changing it to a 32 grill and a much larger radiator but living in Texas the little 29 turned it into a steam pot. I know it’s not OG style but it is what the OG would have turned their cars into in the ’90s.

About the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month Contest
The Hot Rod of the Month Contest is a special opportunity available only to Foundation Members. Active Members have a two-week period EACH MONTH in which to enter a car they own by providing photos and a description of their car. During the following two-week period, all Members, whether they have entered a car or not, can individually vote for their favorite car.
The car with the most Member votes at the end of each month will be the AHRF Hot Rod of the Month and will be featured on the AHRF website and on social networks.
At the end of each calendar year, the Advisory Board of the Foundation will select one car, as the AHRF Hot Rod of the Year, from that year’s Hot Rod of the Month winners. The Hot Rod of the Year will be given special publicity, and the car will be maintained in an ongoing catalog of AHRF Hot Rod of the Year winners.
