Gig Stephens is seen in Edgar Stone’s number 43 Hook Lobster Company Special out of Boston on pit lane during practice at Indy in 1963. Barney Christiansen built the car in ’61 for the Ansted-Thompson Team. After a 32nd place finish in ’61 and an 8th in ’62 Stone bought it. For ’63 Gig made some practice laps but didn’t attempt to qualify. For ’64 Stone entered it again and Dempsey Wilson and Bob Harkey both ended up as DNQs.
