RPM Nationals, September 2023

All of us here at the American Hot Rod Foundation are proud of the fact that we continue to sponsor one of our favorite events, the RPM Nationals. Held at the scenic Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California, the RPMs provide a form of time travel that we simply can’t get enough of: flag-start drag racing on an old airstrip between flathead powered, traditional hot rods … what could be better than that? Thanks to the vision and determination of organizers Justin Baas and Russ Hare, every RPM event seems to only get better and 2023 was no exception. We want to congratulate all of the winners in the six race classes – Carrillo Customs with the repeat win in V8 full race, Hudson Joe Buffardi with his freshly built blown banger powered modified in the 4cyl full race class, Dustin Scaplo in the modified v8 street class, Rich Roberts getting the repeat win in v8 street, Justin Martin coming out on top in 4cyl street and Joe Rodriguez once again taking the win in 4cyl modified street.
